I think this would have been better if the trunk was the main focus point of the camera. Also, the image seems to lean just a bit to the left. Might just be the tree is leaning. But it might have helped to lean in back anyway.

To me, the composition seems off. I'm confused about what the subject is. Seems like the area in focus should be closer to the center of the image.

This is a really cool and very well executed idea! I think it was smart to use two different colored flames. I also think that the reflection also adds very positively to the composition. And I can even see good texture in the ice. Very well done!

Yeah thanks for the critique Sid. I really wasn't very happy with this picture to be honest. But I was just running out of time, and I made a commitment to myself to enter at least something for one of these open challenges per week.

Also, thanks for the ideas for possibly improving this piece. I'll have to give them a try.
