For what its worth I think that this image is oversaturated and rather flat. The reds in particular seem too strong imo and whilst you have a nice leading line with the footpath the line leads nowhere. Perhaps a lower vantage point, crouching or on your stompic to get more sky at the top. (and dare I say it, closer to the edge.)

your aperture is at 9 which is somewhat narrow dof, and that could be part of the problem with the lack of sharpness throughout the photo.

Now all that being said you obviously have a decent eye for photos it just the fine tuning that you can improve(as we all are)

wow I realy like the gleam of her skin. The candles are great but as some are more lit than others it does distract the eye a bit. But great warm light.

Nice job on a simple BW. I guess what would have helped raise the votes is the 1% things that could be improved. The blown highlight under the eye, the pure white Background is a bit strong imo, personaly I think it wuold have been better with out the shirt, lastly imo the eyes could do with being sharper. Regardless its a great shot as shown by the voters.

the lighting looks very flat perhaps some more contrast would help? also the first think that went through my mind was that he is taking a wiz in the fountain, perhaps that says more about me than your photo thou :)
