This is beautiful photo, everything is perfect, and the photographer definitely deserved to win the blue ribbon.

I do have some questions though, why would ANYONE give this photo a vote of less than than a 6? I understand that the voting is subjective, but there is no way anyone would think this is a below average photo, yet 39 or about 15% of the voters thought it was below average. It would appear that some people give those photographs who they view as competition, a low score to improve their ranking in the contest. I am new here, but is this common?

DNMC. I would have rated this photo a 9 or 10 except for the fact there was not a physical fence involved. I love the color, tone and the subtle touches such as the old wall behind her. Very intense beautiful and well photo, IMO, it just wasn't the right photo for this competion.

Please keep submtitted more, I love your work.

This is very nice photo, he does seem very relaxed and contemplative. For some reason it reminded me of when I was a child, after a bath I would wrap up in a bathrobe and watch TV with my mother before going to bed. You are very lucky to have two "live-in models" who seem to be cooperative while you capture their many moods. Keep up the good work.

Beautiful photo, I love the way the light draws your attention to her eyes. I enjoyed all of your photos of your children, but this one definitely stands out as a work of art.

I had to add this to my "favorites", I love the lighting and his "contemplative" gaze. I do have to ask, how many shots did you have to take to get this perfect look?

I think this is a beautiful, and very thought provoking photo, but it seems to be stretching the rules about a physical fence. I would rate this an 8 if it was an open challenge.

I like this photo, but for the life of me, I can not figure out what kind of fence it is. I would love to hear more about where this photo was taken.
