Like the toning and the subtle grain. Very desolate. Good "winter" shot. - 7

Great image. Love the tension between the standing, but ultimately just as empty, dress behind the glass and the apparently discarded dress in the foreground. Graining used very well. - 10

As an old-school film shooter, this image really doesn't look grainy at all, but I can see how someone used to digital, noise-reduced images might find this "grainy." Tones and textures are wonderful. The center of the flower might be better compositionally a little higher or lower in the frame, but still pushed off center horizontally as you have done. - 7

158 Grain 38 Special

Comment:
This photograph needs a lot of work. I can see how the visual pun idea might appeal, but the composition just looks plunked down on a wrinkled sheet with no real balance or interesting visuals. The grain doesn't enhance the image, but just makes it look low quality. I can image a version of this in black and white, shot from a low angle rather than from above, with angled or overhead lighting to give the shot some depth and atmospherics. Maybe just the gun, a single bullet, and the glasses.

Not sure if this is on that the general DPC set is going to like, but I really dig this one. The high contrast and subtle graining really give this a rugged and erie tone. - 8

The noise in this looks very artificial and for me doesn't add to the image. Like the setup, composition, and tones however. - 6

Let me go against the grain and say that, while I very much like this shot too. You're original entry was much stronger and the way to go. The guy in this picture is (or appears to be) responding to you and to being photographed, the woman in your entry is responding to life which is what street photography is all about. (I gave you a 9 on your entry, btw.)

this is interesting, it reminds me of certian mural styles. however, i think you've taken it beyond grian/niose and into impressionism or abstraction. - 5

colors, with the graining, gives it a very nice kodachrome feel.
