Very artsy shot. Love the clarity and comp...kind of an ecclectic/eccentric shot. This would likely do well for an album cover for a band. Seriously! :)

Don't you find it interesting as to the idea that the participant's scores are much lower than the non-participant's scores?

I think this was a gray area because it was a dark photo (light wise). I really like the play of light on the flower though! Really nice! :)

The processing is elegant and yet bold. The colors are vibrant and almost holographic. The 3 petals are interesting with their archs and swirls. The detail is magnificent. The DOF from flower to stem is really intriguing. The fine and very thin yellow border is tasteful and an addition to the photo. Love the title...very clever. I don't get how the petals are allegedly not in focus or, how the thin yellow border detracts the eye away from the entire photo when there's so much going on in it. LOL I also don't understand how one can say that the 3 petals are bothersome??? But, well, there's my comment on your shot added to the rest too now. :) ETA: Had I done this...it would have been a 3.2 ROFL!!! ;)
