Wow, I want those eyes! Lucky girl! I'm thinking that perhaps, the lighting was just a tad too strong on the left side of her face in this shot. I have the same problem with my shots too.

Oh, have I seen that attitude! LOL Parents KNOW that look. My only constructive piece of advice on this would be that perhaps, the "highlights" are either too light or too dark and the "shadows" are a bit too dark. But, I see your dilema where if you were to lighten the entire shot, you'd have the really highlighted area in the back of his hair and jawline, almost blanched. Perhaps, a bit of "dodging" would have darkened that area and you could have lightened the brightness just a tad on the entire shot????

Uhhhh.......not finding "centered" easily, the focus is quite bad. Did you zoom in and crop this from a larger shot?? Perhaps, it was a bit too zoomed in on as it's very grainy and out of focus.

Lovely clarity, colors and focus! I'm wondering if cropping the branch out of the side might have centered it better and been less distracting from the main focus might improve the center focus????

Unlit lamps

I see the lamp centered horizontally, but after placing my hands around the shot on my screen to cover, I'm wondering if perhaps, it would have been more powerful to have cropped a bit more off of the sides and top which would have centered the lamp completely and gotten rid of the tree tops...which are a little distracting from the main focus????

I see the center was the eyes in this shot, but perhaps, had her lips been white as well, the eyes would have stood out more as the center focal point??? And, I've moved my screen view up and down and perhaps, having cropped the top just a tad bit more would have centered it a bit more???
