Nice soft focus and does well in B&W. Bet a lot of women would kill to have those eyes as dramatic as they are.

LOL...it's Greek to me too! This one makes me feel that I have to get stronger glasses LOL! The focus does a number on one's eyes and I think it's cool that it does that. Kind of a "double meaning"! Smart!!!

"The Apple of You Eyes" *smile* I like it that I have to look to see what is reflected in the glasses as the subject behind the title.

Oh so CUTE! I tried this with my dog for this challenge and couldn't get her to sit long enough to get the shot! LOL Love the coloring and crop.

Looks PROUD to me! *smile* Great clarity and certainly makes it an interesting photo of glasses. That's hard to do!

Really cute idea. Seems that you may have used a flash or the lighting was a bit too harsh? Not sure which it is but, I like the idea behind it!

Love the lighting...warm glow and nice contrasts! The focus seems a little "shallow" (ie: more toward the front but, seemingly still a bit oof) but, perhaps, that's what you meant it to be? (commenting only)

Wow, either my eyes need a "tune up" or some people's monitors need one! ;)

I don't see "the grain" that commenters are talking about and more than anything, they've bypassed a TREMENDOUS photo in lieu of this alleged "grain"????

I love the color, composition, crop and the abstractness of this shot, Jo! Really wonderfully done! Don't let the voters in here take you down. This is a tremendous shot and one that you should be very, very proud of!

(((((HUGS)))))

DPC is going crazy! ;)

ETA: BTW...I find it ironic that out of that entire shot, the only criticism given was this "grain" or "pixelization"??? Since I can't see it....I'm wondering just how "distracting" (hate that term as it's used constantly) it really was??? Therefore, the big question...were they actually seeing the photograph and looking at it....or, were they bypassing it and looking only for flaws???

Seems to me it was the latter! Such a shame to miss an entire wonderful photograph!

Ok...got that out...I can BREATHE now! ;)

Don't you just love it when the comments are all fabulous and yet, the score SUCKS?! ;)

Really, this shot should have scored so much higher! But, I guess that it's not traditional DPC look and you know how that goes, don't ya?

I still LOVE this shot, Mich! I hope it's framed and in your home because it's a really fabulous shot and the editing is superb! Really well done. It has a look of it's own that matches the subject and editing very well. Love it!!!

ETA: I find it interesting that the non-participants scored it higher than the participants. Hmmmm....could be a bit of a "bias" going on there???

I love the editing in this! It's got a lot of character to it and truly matches the scene and the children in this shot. Love it, love it, love it! Why can't DPCers see this a true Photography? It is not just a skill (technicals), it's an entire ART FORM. This type of editing is truly an ART!!!
