March, 8thby Rino63Comment: Greetings from the Critique Club.
Hello Gennaro, Iâm Alan.
To tell the truth this was not of my highest rated photos in this challenge. Lets take a look, what do we have, a very young lady, what, 5-10 years old, with really nice hair, who seems to be upset or on the verge of a tantrum? I tried to find substance and yet it floated away like a butterfly. I have looked at your portfolio and have seen several of your images that are definitely artistic, for some reason on this one you missed the mark as so it seems so did I..

You do the weeding Mum, I'm going to mow the lawn!by NuzzerComment: Greetings from the Critique Club.
Hello Gerry, Iâm Alan.
With a 6th place and a 6+ score I think you found a connection with the majority of the voters, that I personally found to be a creative take on a somewhat boring challenge. Your childâs facial expression is perfect as well as the sky. Improvements? Except for the sky the colors look a tiny bit flat. I also feel your wife is but a minor distraction, explaining her in the title was unnecessary, a more creative title might have bumped the score a tiny amount. One other thing âIâ would have done is apply a bit of Topaz Detail (disclaimer; Some topaz products are legal some questioned in basic, please check with SC with anything you do with this product) Free trial on the Topaz website (No, I do not have any association with Topaz).
All in all, had I voted I would had rated a 8..

Hello Andrew, Iâm Alan.
I think your second comment sums this image correctly, when you where just short of accused of a screen capture. I see in photographers comments you had a problem with your railing, but I think it fitâs the inspired scene well. Improvements there are few. One being the possible use of yellow transparent plastic sheets with a cut out in the center to give it that yellowed border, and added noise in PP (legal in basic) to give it that film nor look. Overall I think this was well presented, Thank You for giving me a fun image to critique this morning..
