Vertical climbby HoogieComment: Excellent DOF and great composition/placement of the caterpillar. Sharp focus too. The "verticalness" of the shot may be enhanced if you turned the image 90 degrees CW or perhaps even 180 degrees. Really well done. 9 |

Touch The Skyby bobgaitherComment: Interesting shot, with lots of great lines, shadows and tones. I'm sure you've been reminded that it doesn't fit the challenge, but at least know that it's a pretty good photo. It could be more in focus, however. It would be nice to get all of those branches in sharp detail. |

Beer above all!by kosmikkreeperComment: I like the contrasts here, and the placement of the beer bottle in the image. I just wish it were in focus. Try the macro feature on the camera if you have it. That may allow you to get close and still keep focus. |

Sweet Home Chicagoby Clou9Comment: ...makes me pine for Chicago once more... Nice perspective. Try it at night or at sunset or some other time when the light will be far more interesting. |

Hey, wrong entrance!by johnmkComment: This image certainly fits the challenge this week. I also like the varioud lines that lead the eye to different parts of the image. With more engaging light, the photo would be far more interesting, I feel. |

Stainless Steelby Silver FoxComment: You've made this into an abstract with this "macro" shot, which is clever. I don't find it all that interesting, but there is some interesting light going on. You might try fiddling around more with your light/dark levels to create more dynamic shadows and invite more interest. |

Peek-A-Booby peggyComment: I like the idea behind this shot. Fun stuff to see the fish's mouth there. There are a lot of things that compete with the fish, however, such as the lines and colors on the boat, and even the rocks themselves. |

Shasta Damby EJComment: I like the composition of this shot in terms of arrangement. The tree on the left give the image some weight and grounds it with some negative space (kind of). The whole image is out of focus, though. Also, for shots like this in daytime light, try your smallest aperture, and don't compensate for reciprocity failure. Your image will often take on more interesting light. |

Basketball?by thatguyComment: I like the idea, and the hoop looks good in the center. The whole image is grainy and out of focus for no reason that I can see. Try focusing first on the subject by pressing the button half way, then move your camera to compose the picture while still holding the button. Viola, your subject will be in focus. |
