I have to confess that I'm colorblind, so the red/green contrast doesn't work on me here as well as it does on others. However, the lines and textures STILL make the flower the central subject, and the photo still works pretty well for me. 8

Okay, so I'm in California, and I'm walking through this horticultural center and there's all this bamboo and I'm taking pictures all over the place and I don't get even one good shot--Now I can go back and copy yours and I'll have something to be proud of! Gentle leaning lines and soft colors and light make this photo really work. Nice!
