I can see the "Boat" i don't think is a strong enough boat to boost you to the blue ribbon, however. The image itself has a lot of style. I hope the other voters hang out long enough to see the boat.... sadly i don't think many of them will....
Good luck! It's certainly a bold image for a challenge shot.

I love the image! I'm not so hot on the title though. "Backside" only tells me what side I'm looking at. It doesn't say anything at all about a "Boat". I think if you had named it "Cargo" or something like "Headed to the Dock" it might help the image associate better with a "Boat" in the eyes of a viewer. It's a great shot just the same! Good Luck!

Nice coloring in this. Soft sky and crisp detail in the water. A great job of positioning the subjects as well.

Great coloring and use of negative space here. Excellent lead-lines to bring your eyes back to the boat. Nice work.

Great job of shooting into the sun! I like the harsh yellow to soft blue sky in this. The opposing colors of the sky are mirrored in the softness of the boats with the harsh scrapes and rust. Interesting work! I think you may get a comment or two telling you to remove the small part of the neighboring boat on the far right of the frame. I actually like it in there just as you have it. The boats run in a line and the patch of water at the end makes your eye go up to that mark and throws your eye back on to the boats with the lead-lines created by the clouds. I enjoyed seeing this!

Awesome! This is a nice image to see in this challenge! Excellent composition. Loaded with movement and interest. The classic boat in Black/White, surrounded by wood grain and rust. All my favorite things to photograph. You've done a stellar job with this one!

Artsy shot! My favorite part of this is the cloud that looks like a splash hit the sky. The shadows are just a little heavy for my taste, but with the added grain it is clearly intentional, which I like a lot! Go bold! My one nit-pick, If I had to find something to improve on this would be the tilt perspective of the sky-scraper on the far right. (But after I actually check it, its perfect). Great job! I think Blk/Wht was a good choice for this as well. Good Luck!

Interesting shot! I love the absolutely calm muddy water in this. Your very long exposure was a great choice. the soft clouds match the calm water and keep your focus on the ... boat, is it? Half of a boat?

Pretty tricky! Creating a "Boat" It will probably cost you some votes from the viewers who don't play cards. The image is great! I do like the dark shadows that force your eyes back to the center of the shot. I love the wrinkle in the cloth and the chips showing just above the white shirt... (It makes the setting more "real" for me). The three sets of cards face down on the table, however, make me feel like you didn't have enough people to put the cards in the other player's hands. If I were hunting for something "wrong" in the shot, that would be it to me... not horrible, but just slightly contrived.
