Hahahah! This made me laugh tonight. I was browsing through your portfolio and noticed the folder named simply "Ugh" Hahahah.
Every time I take a stroll through your stuff I find things I've never seen before.

Every time I see this picture, I hit the link to add it to my favorites again. Everything about this is perfect; the clouds, the fence, the barn, the colors. Awesome work!!!

I am seeing this image for the first time tonight. I donât spend as much time browsing the photos here as I once did but it is a pleasant surprise to stumble upon this hidden gem .
I didnât vote on this challenge, but I would have placed this in my 10âs. The photo captured my interest instantly. The title actually made me want to study every detail of his face to see what time has done to the General. After reading your comments I can understand why you might have selected this as a âbestâ photo. Itâs an excellent portrait and it carries the visual emotion that is so hard to capture in a photograph of a stranger.
Your comments didnât include any information on his service record and Iâm left wondering if the title was selected because it fit so well, or if he is indeed a General. Either way, inspiring work.

This is superb! The tones are warm and rich. The textures utilize the full gamut of smooth and texture without going overboard. The expressions and movement are natural. This is one of my favorite entries in the challenge. It would be difficult to find fault with an image of this caliper. I wouldn't change a thing. 10 from me.

This is an interesting take on the challenge topic. Iâm always glad to see the different creative interpretations. The challenge description calls for a personification and goes on to say it shows human characteristics or evokes a human feeling. I hope that definition of personification doesnât cause you to lose points from some of the voters.

From Websters: Personification = A divinity or imaginary being representing a thing or abstraction.

I actually do take the time to look up the alternate meanings of challenge topics. I would hate to drop someoneâs score because of my own ignorance.

I really like the soft green coloring to this one and the unusual subject. A very clean and bold entry. It takes a great eye to see beauty in the ordinary things. Well done! High marks from me.

HAHAHAHAhahaha!
It took me a a second .... But I'm a little slow sometimes. I wouldn't change a thing about this one. The soft green color in the background against the redish bark is a beautiful mix. Clever entry for the challenge and a weird find.

I can't help but wonder how you might score on an inkblot test.

Good luck in the challenge, 9 from me.

This is great!
The over-all color is a little dark, but the composition is strong enough to make up for it. I like the little bit of light showing in the background. It gives the appearance of a stage for the performers but I want to see more light in the arm and leg leaves. The current lighting set up might not allow the darker areas to lighten-up without having the lighter areas become blown-out. Itâs still a very strong entry in this challenge and a fun composition. 8 from me.
