And as a parent i can bet that child is saying 'why do I have to go to bed I am not tired'. Evocative image which because of the conversion and the effect it has on the clothes almost (to me) makes me think of the 50's. Terrific shot though and a definite keeper

Nice technique, although the effect on the left eye (as viewed) almost seems more pronounced than that on the right eye so a slight shame that it is cropped

Been looking at this for a while wondering whether it works in terms of the challenge for me (as a photo its good) and have decided that it does as for a still photo you have captured the very essence of the giraffe moving/closing its mouth to eat love the choice of dof. Bump to 8

Great photograph although for me in terms of the challenge I would have preferred it if the bridge was still partially open and you could see the ships wake trailing behind (so you could tell it was closing not opening). With those elements (and I have just made myself laugh by reading them back....not asking much am I???) it would have been a 10 and a definite ribbon winner, but as it is still a very good 7
