Head and shoulders above the restby redmoonComment: Simply my favourite image in the challenge and I love the fact that it is not a person that is alone in the crowd but a building. Meets the challenge brilliantly and more than simply a good idea has been fantastically delivered. This looks like it should be a huge poster on someones wall. If you live in the US and you havent already you should check out the free canvas thread in the forums. This would look fantastic in this format
An unequivocal 10 from me |

Toadby eyeduphotosComment: Super high contrast on a slightly over exposed background, really makes this picture eyecatching. the border and the blurring of the foreground and background work very very well. I also like the fact that the pov means that this toad could almost appear to be a lizard. Great sharpness and focus as well (and as ever with your shots)
Struggling a lot to come up with even the smallest thing I dont like about this picture, possibly the bluring in the foreground could be a touch more feathered, but to be honest in order to find that comment I had to really look at the shot with the most negative of hats on and with the sole intention of finding something to 'complain' about

Helmsby eyeduphotosComment: Super portrait of a beautiful animal. I love the way he is looking directly at the camera, it is almost a liitle disquietening (in a good way if that makes sense) as it takes you aback because you feel that he is REALLY looking at you as you examine the shot. Super focus and I like the fact that the background adds colour without being overpowering
My sour comment perhaps goes some way to explaining why one can never tell how a picture is going to do in the challenge, because I dont like the softened border. I think it is to do with the fact that because the sky is so light it just appears rather than seeming continuous (the place where it appears is also about 1/3rd down the image so it possibly attracts the eye more than it should do

Automotive maintenance technicianby MelethiaComment: Many congrats on the top 10 finish Debs.
I really like the effect that the acid treatment you applied has, any chance of doing a smple tutorial on this so others (well me at least could have a go at it)
Love the composition so that we can only see half of the mechanic and the repeating pillars give a great effect
Take care in KC

Great shot wonderfully executed and pp'd (especially given the camera you were using). Have a celebratory drink courtesy of your English buddy

exploring the further reaches of the planetby GordonComment: The planet or another planet, because if you told me this was Mars I would believe you. Wonderful landscape and the haze just adds to the sense of other worldliness. Colour is superb and the POV magical |

He changed his way of life.......by onarComment: Super shot, brilliantly composed and with wonderful colours. Super sharp on the parascender/parachutist. A thing of beauty. Looking at it you feel it should be advertising the holiday of a lifetime or as the picture on an inspirational poster
Brilliant job |

Lost Northwest of SouthParkby hahn23Comment: This shot goes well beyond mere landscape and becomes a thing of beauty in itself. I have no idea how you got the effect of the red on the inner side of the mountain in the forground and the one in the far background but it is fantastic, and sets the red hue in the clouds off to perfection
wonderful |

Floating to the eyeby littlegettComment: Andrew
I thought this was a great shot. I loved the shallow dof and for me the border worked well. 5.75 is a good score but I think it deserved much higher |
