We see youby Frankie_LvComment: very nice composition that meets the challenge well. I am not sure whether it was just the weather conditions but there almost seems to be a little haze over parts of the shots which are nuting the colours slightly. 6 |

Whiskersby MelethiaComment: Deb
lovely abstract that I am sure would have scored higher had we not just had the pet portrait (as you infer in your notes for non cat lovers there are only so many shots of felines that we can take)
Really like the softness of the B&W conversion but the way that you have not lost the contrast of the various tones.
The sharpness on the whiskers is sublime |

So Much More to Exploreby colorcarnivalComment: woo nice shot, which almost has 'shining'-esque qualities
I love the fact that even though we cant see the boys face we can sense ennui with being 'trapped' indoors and a keenness to get out and play
I love the b&w conversion you have used, gotta be honest and say the desat less so, but the good news is that -as you say - you take pictures for you and not for me/voters
very nice finish - especially in a free study - an an intriguing study |

The Light that Guides You Homeby KarenNfldComment: Really nice compositionally and I love the sharpness and contrast of the rocks and snow (especially in the foreground) as well as the implied leading line that the snow creates.
For my taste (and as I always say check the difference in scores that you get compared to me before you put any store in my judgement) the sky and the sea seem a little flat colour wise
Still a lovely photo |

In the Zoneby BAMartinComment: Funnily enough after seeing 'long time master' in the last challenge I wondered whether this was another of yours from the Japanese festival
What a cool fun image, and lovely sharpness and colours on the main subject (whom I cant decide whether they are really in the zone and going for it or slightly scared that one of those drumsticks is going to bounce back and hit hime in his own head)
Either way a great shot that I could eaily imagin in the pages of a local paper to illustrate the great time had by all at the event
Good job

Table for One, Pleaseby CharleneComment: Grrr I cant believe that after trailing me in the scores all week I ended up eating your dust right at the end
A beautiful atmospheric shot which has a haunting/slightly sad quality to it. I love the black and white conversion you have used. The low key and slight noise works really well in this case
A very nice image
ETA....Hahahaha I only just saw your comment....I dont know whether to try and act all tough by saying "Of course I made you wait...treat 'em mean keep 'em keen" or point out the truth of the matter which is that I was working but actually arrived earlier than estimated!!!! Huevosby WalesPComment: Mas bien Ron. I was one of your 48 '7's. There seem to have been quite a few egg shots recently so to get one to stand out like this is pretty impressive
Great composition and sharpness. DoF is bang on. Also the lighting experiment has worked perfectly
Also worth mentioning how well the border sets off the image |

The Color of Loveby SandyPComment: Wow...I cant believe how well you capture the fur, you have textured it so that I can almost feel its softness.
The other thing that stands out for me are the facing lions eyelids as I dont think I have ever seen these in such detail and I am genuinely fascinated by them
As ever a wonderful animal shot that stops the viewer dead in their tracks when it opens on screen

Reflections of Fallen Heroesby CharleneComment: I TOLD you we should have photographed the Liberty Bell!!!
I really cant believe that this did not score better although the fact that 17 people scored it 7 or higher does show that there were people out there who really liked it
I love the fact that you managed to catch so much of the etched faces and bodies on the memorial together with glimpses of the reflections of the statues behind it
A great memory of a lovely day

The Orchard Pathby colorcarnivalComment: Nice shot. I way prefer it to the one with the two adjustments in RAW (by the way congrats on perservering with that)
It has a lovely depth to the colour but with a real glossy (as opposed to matt) feel to it
You nailed the dof perfectly for the shot and the composition is spot on |
