nice simple idea. The lighing is good on the watering can but i'd like to see some secondary lighting on the plant to make it stand out a bit more.
Composition is spot on and I love the way the can is in the corner. 6

I know focussing is a big issue with close up shots but for me personally I would have liked to have seen more of the scene in focus. It also isn't particularly colourful and doesn't have the wow when you first look at it. Composition is good, lighting is also good so technically is it pretty sound, just need some extra colour I think to make it a bit more interesting. 5

wow I love the smooth blue tones and the shadows created by the sculpture, it almost looks like a spider at the bottom.
Technically it's very good and I like the way the sky graduates from light to dark. I also like the way this is centered in the frame, it seems to work really well for this shot. 7

Fire & Water

When I think of electricity i do not really think of it as being fire. When I switch the plug on there obviously isn't fire going on inside the cables otherwise the plastic coatings would melt. So for this reason alone i think you have tried to match this photo to the challenge rather than going out with the intention of taking an elements style shot. Not that this is a problem but it shows in the style of shot and the fact it rather looks like a snapshot rather than something you have taken time over to think about and plan and for that reason I am giving this a 3.

Making a Splash

nice capture, you must have been delighted with this one and you obviously showed patience and great timing to get this shot plus the horizon is spot on level which is great for the limited time to frame this shot.
It does look a little oversharpened and is lacking overall detail in the whale itself, i cant really make out his head properly due to reflections in the water. Other than that it's great :o) 6

Composure is Everything

you said it yourself, composure is everything but i don't think this has been composed particularly well as there is too much dead space around the duck. Perhaps zooming in a little closer or actually trying to get physically closer would have drawn the attention more to the duck itself.
