Really nice idea - but this would have really done better if the focus would have been on the m&ms instead of the rim of the glass. It couls use with a little brighting in levels and maybe a bit more localized contrast - such as USM 25,50,0 to give it a little punch.

Meets challenge but I see a couple of flaws in this image that may should be easy fixes and help out your score - first the image seems a little underexposed - adjusting levels in photoshot should help brightenup up the whites a little. second - the centered composition is not very interesting - shooting so the bird is off center will help - third the image seems a bit blurry - try setting up a tripod so it is pointed right at the birdfeeder to get shots of these little guys.
