I personally prefer the image you entered. The other one would have done well, but this one is more interesting, especially in comparison to the other images in the challenge. The other image is just another well done landscape.

It's a nice, sharp, well lit picture, of a guy in a suit sitting in front of a white wall, looking away from the camera. The technicals are good, but as the viewer, I'm just not that interested in the guy. He isn't engaged with the camera and isn't doing anything interesting, and there's nothing about the environment he's in that's interesting. The angle (from slightly above) and the fact that he isn't looking at the camera makes me think that this is probably a grab shot, of a guy who's waiting for either a funeral, a wedding, or a job interview. Maybe it would have been more interesting to show a wider shot of him in the environment.

Nice IR. It is indeed very dreamlike. The tree is beautiful, and the composition is good, but I think the ground needs more detail.

A lovely spot, nicely framed and photographed. I'm wondering if it might work better if the bright parts were brighter, so that you use the full range of grey scale that you have available.
