WOW - a couple things I really like:
the colors - this could be in a magazine!
more importantly, I notice each piece has an interesting point in focus: top tip of the first to the narrow band on the second and how the focus washes across the last piece. I suspect you have a great deal of control over your camera. This photo has some outstanding compositional traits.

wish the focus included more of the sugar in the background (DOF, but I don't know how to use those terms very well yet). Love the crispness on the spoon - and the reflection doesn't bother me given the white of the sugar out weighs it. Background it delightful

...but why isn't the whole shot blurry? I remember a shot you took in a tunnel too that was intentionally blurred and I just don't understand how you do it.
