As with other entries of this genre, I love the concept - very fitting for the challenge. Your entry could use a better point of view to focus more on the subject matter. As is, the background does not add to the photo - My eye wanders around the photo. 5

Heavy Conversation

First, the photo seems very painterly. The conversation taking place is in a public cafe of sorts (man's coat), but it is not peopled - there are neither tables nor a window offering a street scene for a background. The table does not invite an unexpected guest or even the waitress to refresh a beverage. Your composition locks out an intruder with use of the plant, stemware and the position of the arms. This gives focus to the men already engaged in their topic.

Your use of black and white (& lovely tonal range) forces the viewer to look at your subjects without distraction. I believe this to be fine piece of photographic art (re: recent thread topic). It represents an aesthetic moment that warrants further investigation by the viewer. It is certainly emotive.

The reflection in the puddle is nice but the pavement that separates it from the wall is distracting (confusing?). i like the tilt of the photo because it adds to the "spinning" concept... 6
