Way too much sharpening. It brings things more into focus but creates noise where there shouldn't be and makes those little white spots which are not attractive. Using a diffused light source with a greater dof and sharp focus would have gotten a better result than trying to fix it by sharpening. One way to help a photo that isn't as sharp as you'd like is to use contrast and curves.

Looks like you caught that white one in the middle of a sniff or maybe he's chewing... his nose is crooked. Kind of cute!! An appropriate image for easter huh? Good textures and overall good shot.

This looks like maybe an out-take from the fauna challenge. I like them both. Painted with light right? Done very well!! While I love the photo and agree that there is texture I think there are others that work better for the challenge. Of course that's just my preference. I'm making it a fave but because I love the photo itself.

Can't decide if I like the dof here or not. On one hand it helps bring the eye into that great texture but on the other hand that bottom right corner isn't attractive. Maybe just a little crop off the bottom or recomposing toward the top left but keeping the same dof? Not sure. Technicals look great and it isn't monotonous with a single texture/pattern over the entire photo.

A bit more off the bottom would get rid of that oof dark part but still not compromise the shot. Overall well done. Maybe a bit too saturated for my taste but I see it as the artists choice and not really overdone. Looks like maybe a little too sharpened though.

This is another shot that has great technicals and great texture. But as I've noted on some of the other ones, I think having something else in the shot would help it. Having just texture (which I realize is the challenge topic) makes for a monotonous photograph. Adding something minimally into the shot gives the eye something to rest on and take a breath before exploring or going back to the texture. I like the border here though.
