Red Follyby wrikardComment: I like the included texture in the background. A little wider dof to get that other eye and whiskers in focus too would be good. They would add to the textures already present. Technically well done. Overall good job. |

Liberty Science Centerby Nikolai1024Comment: I'm glad you didn't put a title about the texture on the water. Nice job. The silky smooth sky with the rough water is a good combination. Well done. |

Off with the old!by jdixonsdComment: I think there's too many entries in this challenge. I thought I already commented and voted on this one. There's either another one similar or I just looked at it and thought I made the comment. Anyway. Nicely done. Maybe some more light or fill bounce on the left side would help to bring in the texture there too. I like the contrast of the smooth new wood revealed and the play of light and shadow there. A little more dof would bring focus to the bottom portion which is sort of blurry. |

The Adventurous Brideby JimiRoseComment: Well done shot. I'm sure this bride is happy with it. Great combination of textures. A little overexposed in the whites but not distractingly so. |

Snow is textured from skiingby jimsappComment: Not sure you needed to explain it in the title but okay. You've got an original here. Well in this challenge at least. The texture of the snow is very intriguing indeed. The snow is a little gray and could use a little bump in exposure. There aren't any other spots in the shot that would suffer from it so it wouldn't hurt. Or alternately (or even in addition) you could change the color temp to just a bit warmer. |

Leafby andrijaComment: Love the lighting but I wish it didn't have that shadow on the bottom right. I'm kind of torn as to wether I want to see more of the leaf on the top left or not. dof, contrast, color are all good. |

True Gritby oldgrouseComment: I'm glad you included the larger shell in a thirds position. It gives the eye a place to rest and take a break while looking at all the interesting texture you have going on. contrast looks pretty good. Maybe a tad more? But maybe not. I'm not much of a fan of borders but it might help in this case to keep me in the photo. Nothing elaborate just a little one. Good large dof and focus. |

Red Hot, Silky Smoothby csickComment: At first glance it looks like ripples from a drop of liquid but after closer inspection it looks like an actual piece of silk positioned to look like that. Well done in that regard. Composition looks good but maybe a little more exposure and more dof would improve the overall shot. |

Süßes Früchtchenby bubeltrubelComment: I think this is one of the better shots in the challenge of the strawberries. The color seems more true to the fruit. The green leafs are much better represented here. However the same thing I said with the others applies here too. Diffusion of the light would help to make it a better shot imo. leaving your light where it is just putting a thin piece of waxed paper between the light and the strawberry would get rid of those bright reflective spots. I think it would be a better shot that way. Well done overall. |

Old Sycamoreby DrakeComment: Moving just slightly back a little but keeping nearly the same angle might show off the nice texture of this trees bark a little better. Moving too far back though would lose the nice view of the limbs against that nice clouded light blue sky so not too much. Just a little. Overall well done. |
