Imagine... by JasperComment: This was one of my real favorites, congratulations and nice text choice even if your Mom did help pick it out. |

The inner Canyons are the deepestby Harz_JoergComment: As I commented during the challenge, this is quite powerful. I am still not sure about the rope but that is a minor issue. The light flare on the window behind works symbolically for me (hope? another choice?) and the cellar is very effectively captured. |

LIFEby Harz_JoergComment: This also was a very original and nicely captured response to the Challenge. No critical comments here. |

IMG_7097b.jpgby Harz_JoergComment: I really like this concept - the framing, and the sense of motion with the branches reaching out away from the main trunk. I have two questions - is it just a tiny bit oversharpened? The texture is wonderful but in the foreground it seems a bit overdone and I wondered if that was an effect of sharpening for the branches thhat reach away.
Also, just technically, is there a way to keep more of the depth of tone in those reaching branches? The way they fade out almost to a weblike effect is very nice but I just wondered. |

Determinationby cimarron98Comment: I think the grammatical construction should be "To Make Things Move" or even maybe you mean "To Make Things Change" |

Brushby darcyComment: Greetings from the Critique Club:
This certainly met the challenge and it is an interesting transformation of the everyday to abstraction. There is little to critique here, but perhaps the lighting could have been a little more generalized to pick up the right side of the brush and balance the image. The texture and light on the bristles is very nice and DOF works well. The translucence of the handle especially under the bristles on the left side of the image is very interesting and, again, it might have been good to see that on the left as well. Thanks for the image. |

No brainer . . . it's a strainer!by kayceeComment: Greetings from the Critique Club:
This is certainly a macro and fits the challenge from that standpoint. From an overall point of view this does not hold a great deal of interest - perhaps because the four points of light underneath the mesh are very distracting. The mesh is also uneven with a roll up to the light on the left and that takes the eye away from your image instead of giving it more to enjoy and think about. The generally uneven quality both of light and of the strainer itself confuse the image and rob it of the clarity I think you were looking for. You might want to think about shooting this again with something colorful under the strainer to bring out the pattern of the mesh and add some interest and with a more diffused light source. Thanks for the image.
