End of Roadby waziz74Comment: this would work better if you'd been more central and the horizon was more horizontal I feel. |

Greetings from Hickory NCby jmsetzlerComment: Easily the best entry - I love the deep evocative feel of this, how it could be anyone's corner of the world yet you've made it your own. The religious iconography held within the apple speaks volumes to the soul of both the photographer and viewer and really brings me into this piece of work. Obviously the symbolism of the red and white together combine to remind us of the suffering and bloodshed in the world while the white porcelin represents the bones of all the poor innocents. The cross, towering over the symbol of Eden evidently shows how Christ died for the original sins commited in the first garden and you've very cleverly included the symbolism of the snake, just by association in this context. The more I look at this, the more I get from the obviously startling amount of thought and preparation that has been placed in the composition and elements that have been selected. The very choice of a urinal, where the water washes away the sins, like an original baptism is inspired, along with the dual metaphor of the water turning into the wine coloured strainer at the bottom - again a clear signal of the power represented within this landmark image. This is a wonderfully emotive picture reminding us of the suffering going on in the world and how your corner, my corner and everyone's corner is part of the same group conciousness. If I could give it an 11 I would (10) After a second review, I don't think this meets the challenge so I've revised my score (1) |

Presidential Mansion by arnitComment: Arnit ? Great colours/ simplicity. I like this a lot. Feels slightly squnit/ tilted but that could just be the perspective. |

Vineyardby bobgaitherComment: I'd have liked to see more of the progression of the vines into the distance, maybe shooting more down the gaps than into the vines. Maybe even getting really close to a vine, so a bunch of grapes fills some of the foreground, while showing the rows leading off to the background ? |

My cornerby sekkemkareComment: lovely location - perhaps too much of the 'frame' though. Contrast needs some work too. |

butterflyby pookey83Comment: focus is quite soft - I think I'd prefer it sharper on the butterfly |

My Worldby GolferDDSComment: Lovely! Strikes a chord and communicates a great deal, without very much at all. Very clean and simple. |

Old wallby deanComment: this might make a really strong B&W with all that stone texture. Though I like the subtle green door and orangy brick. I like this a lot. |
