Touch The Skyby bobgaitherComment: That's a great great photo. I love the negative space, the tree, everything about it. However, I can't give you more than a 5 because it doesn't meet the challenge. Sorry! (If it met the challenge I'd give you a 10!) |

Infinite Supportby mbardeenComment: Thanks for the comments and the voting.
I almost didn't submit this because of the barbed wire.. It bothered me so much that I debated going down late at night and cutting it out, just so I could take the shot properly. My good sense got the better of me and I decided that a blue ribbon wouldn't help much with the barrister's fees if I got caught. ;)

A perfect three by mbardeenComment: Wow! A ribbon on my very first member's challenge... No pressure now, no.. none at all!
This was taken at 3:30pm BST on Sunday in my backyard -- a last ditch attempt at an entry. Needless to say I'm surprised at how well it did!
Thanks for the great comments and the votes! |

left then rightby jaygComment: This is the best of the covered bridge pictures, in my opinion. You've resisted the temptation to show the whole bridge, and instead shown us something that makes it more than just another bridge! Congrats on a good photo! |

A Few of LA's Arteriesby takethatComment: I really like the composition of this photo.. all the blue negative space is wonderful. However, I wish there was more detail on the bridge to the right - it looks like you used neatimage and it erased much of that detail. Too bad! 8 for a great photo anyway! |

Swamp Trailsby PixelatedVisionsComment: This shot is really really eye catching, but it suffers technically. It seems washed out, and the bridge is hiding back there. All the white makes it hard to focus on anything. A little bit of post-processing would have made this better, I think. Perhaps increasing the contrast and decreasing the brightness would be all it would have taken. Needless, great photo! |

Untitledby kellymcgComment: I really like the composition of this photo. On one hand you have the tree running down the vertical middle, and on the other you have the bridge support on the left vertical third then relative emptiness on the right third. The bridge deck rests just about on the top horizontal third and the pillar enters the water on the bottom third. The openness/emptiness on the right side just plain works for me. Good job! |

Colorado Street Bridge - 1913by GotchaComment: While this is an intersting shot, the concrete pillar on the left draws my eye far too much. If it had been cropped this picture would have had much more visual impact. |
