Nice tones and lighting. Not entirely pleased by the composition.. I think it would be better with the whole masher? in the frame. Also, it looks like you've used neatimage or something similar on the shot as there is banding evident in the grays. This may or may not be my monitor tho.

What color is your parachute?

Comment:
It's a bird! It's a plane! It's, it's, it's... well.. some small subject that feels isolated from the rest of the shot. It's too noisy and while I love the colour, the rest of the picture holds no attraction for me. Sorry!

I love this shot! It's simple and direct. There's a bit of noise which is distracting, but not overly so. The DOF works great to set the hearts apart from the base. I especially appreciate the lighting and composition. Good job!

Comment:
Yes, there's nuts. There's bolts. Why do I want to look at them? Should I be impressed with the layout? That's about all I can be impressed with. The lighting causes the nuts to blend into the jeans, and it's hard to see any detail on the bolts. There's no drama present here, and more importantly, nothing to say "give me a high score".

The tones, the composition, and the shapes really appeal to me in this shot. Great minimalistic, powerful image. The shadow being the only bit of asymmetry works very well.

Not to be pedantic, but wasn't it the philosopher's stone?

This might work better in colour. As it stands now the iguanas blend into the rocks too much and the only thing that really stands out is the bird.

A tighter crop on the bottom of this picture would have suited me more.

Unbearable lightness of being

Comment:
This photo strikes me as odd. It doesn't really suit the title. The splashes of colour of the pillows and the lightness of the wall is okay. But the picture just lends an air of depression to the whole scene. I also don't like the cutoff lamp and the clutter on the table.
