Big Birdby Ricky CleaveComment: I absolutely love this picture. The composition with the water at the very top is excellent and ads slightly to the hidden nature of the person. The DOF is right on and the colors are excellent. I would have voted this higher had the challenge not implied that the person be hidden. This person is definetely not hidden, although at least they aren't the subject of the shot like some of the others. I like that you titled it big bird. I can see how someone would perhaps think they were a bird. Still not hidden to me. Maybe you could have changed that by limiting the dof in the back, but then the picture wouldnt be as good. Anyway, a great picture, forget the challenge; it made you take a great shot and thats what matters! |

Along the Snowy Trailby kellymcgComment: great job. This is one of my favorites this challenge. One of maybe 5 pictures that are excellent pictures while at the same time actually following the challenge rules of HIDING a person. Great job. |

Alone in the morning sunby jjbeguinComment: This is by far my favorite photo for this challenge. It is the only one in my opinion that is a high quality photograph in terms of composition, colors, dof, etc. that actually HIDES a person. Great job. |

Winter Houseby MattWComment: A visually compelling portrayal of a middle class winter dwelling. The color tones are well chosen but I think the tree should cut more evenly between the two windoes. The slant of the lines on the roof goes real nice witrh the ones on the house and shutter. I dont like the sign pose or whatever it is between the trees in the front. I would take 2 to 3 steps closer and center the attention on the small window. |

"This too... Shall Pass..."by sfarrell23Comment: Nice title. Better than Wilson. Good photograph. Not such a great subject. These familiar pig skinned creatures are generally better captured in motion. |

Missing Sunsetby crabappl3Comment: Yes, the sunset is missing, but I don't see how it would possibly be encorporated anyway, so I guess its better that the sun didnt set in the house just this once. I like the blue on the girls headband and how it mimicks the blue in the vase. Also, the wood tones and grains are nice. I would ger rid of the glass statue (what is it a polar bear?) It somehow doesn't fit the warmth of the rest of the loving photograph. Nice job. Good portrait shot. |

All grown up and ready for college!by svitalComment: He doesn't look ready! Buy him a real gun for pete's sake! jk. Nice use of shadows on the white wall and an interesting compostion that renders nice negative space and line forms. Something is just too drab about the focus and colors. A boy and a photo to be proud of! |

Look here dammit!:-)by ParentxComment: ahhh, an inverted cat being strangled by a shadow-man. Always one of my favorite subjects as well! The inversion lost a lot of the texture however, especially in the lovely bed sheets. THose eyes, those eyes, full of deep mystery. The cat cut in half is beating you by a tail. Nice work |
