factionnaireby tcmartinComment: I like this.......but I have some input on why I voted this a 5 and not higher which it has the potential for IMO. I don't know if it's intentional, but it seems washed to me, and I don't think that does your model justice. I don't know what "factionnaire" means, I have a voluminous vocabulary *and* it won't come up on Wikipedia or Google, so I cannot derive any message from the title. That doesn't help. Also, that sill, or trim piece above her left forearm is distracting.
The good stuff that pulled all of that out of the fire: The lighting is truly excellent; the balance of light on her face, yet having that glorious negative dark space behind her is just exquisite! And her pensive expression leaves me wanting to know more. Good use of soft focus to assist the contemplative nature of the shot, while still having enough detail to make this ethereal looking woman still appear real. Good luck in the challenge! |

5:30by seeComment: This is hard......I gave this a 3 for a couple of reasons. It's too out of focus, and there is no way because of that for me to tell what this man's expression is like that made you want to convey ths image. Though from a technical side, you made the error of having his head almost directly centered, his angle shifts the whole subject off to the left leaving me with an unbalanced feeling. A tigfhter crop at the top to eliminate the tree would have been helpful as well. I hope you find my comment constructive and helpful. |

Decoration for Ganeshaby ankursomaniComment: I'm sorry, but I gave this a 3. You cropped this so close that I can't tell for sure that you got all the subject, and the sign/billboard to the upper right is *very* distracting. And dare I say it? It's too much in focus! On the upside, it's a very interesting composition, and with a little work, unfortunately outside the Basic Editing guidelines, it can be a stellar image. Please accept this critique as 1. Subjective, and 2. Intended to be constructive. Good luck in the challenge, |

Scented Dawnby sulamkComment: I like the concept and the composition, but the focus is a little too soft for my preferences. I like the muted colors and backlighting very much. 5 |
