Micro Bridgeby pitsamanComment: Really cute bridge in the park setting. doesn't look like it gets much use. Nice shadows from the tree, and lovely blue sky too. |

A Tragedy of Sortsby NebularusComment: Critique by Silver Fox.
Hello Nibularus.
Well, you could still scramble it!
The colours are great, the yellow egg yolk and the white egg shell, even the pure egg whites, you've managed to capture them all.
The lighting that you've used in this shot is very good, not overbearing at all, just one slight shadow from the one egg shell, and I had to really look to find it - excellent job on the lighting.
Good focus, nice level that you took the shot from, good job!
You've done a great job, congratulations. |

Crackedby robbiehComment: Critique by Silver Fox.
Greetings.
Great idea for the Challenge. Your composition is nice. I like the way you've captured the texture of the egg carton and the texture of the egg shells, but I think the color balance of the Egg Shells should have been a tad Whiter, and I really like the angle of the shot that you took.
I believe though that the large black border takes away from your finished product as my eyes keep wandering from your eggs to the border all the time.
I especially like the yellow of the egg and the egg white, but is there any way you could have avoided the reflections off of the egg whites, top and bottom and also from the next egg top?
In regards to the Egg carton, where the egg white is flowing out of the carton - - it looks like the egg carton is cut into 2 pieces? There is some shadow there also from one piece of the egg carton? where it does not meet the rest of the box properly? What happened?
Your use of cropping seems to be excellent. DOF is fine.
Your focus is okay, but the focus should have been more on the broken egg and then on the one behind it. You've got the broken one slightly out of focus (on purpose?) and the one behind it in focus. Were you concentrating more on the Egg Yolk instead of the broken shell?
Nice photograph, Robbieh.

Bridge over the canalby peterdehaanComment: Hi. Nice photo. I don't really see anything challenging, something I might see in a holiday magazine or something. sorry. |

Rustyby jitamsComment: I don't know if I'd want to be down there with those 3 engine rumbling over top of me. Great photograph. Just look at the rust on those two bridge spans! Even the trestle part of the bridge looks uncared for. Like the way you've captured the yellow and black of the Engines, even the red lines of the engine 2199 and it's Red Numbers. Nice focus, good and crisp, sharp. Can we talk about Noise? I imagine there was lots of it with those 3 engines passing by! ! Congratulations on a good shot! |

Walkway Over the Railroad 1928by BAMartinComment: Wow, what a busy scene you've captured. I almost wish there was an engine rushing towards me. . . You've got a lot of detail on those rails and ties, the road sign, the sign on the bridge, the grease on the tracks. You've got good gray tones too. Nice photograph. |

Majestic Memories ...built in 1921by DianaComment: Really like the way you kept yourself to the right side of the bridge to take your shot. So many people shoot from dead centre. I like the shadows created on the roadway by the afternoon sun. The only thing missing here is a girl/boy walking hand in hand way down at the other end. You've got some nice tones here for a B&W and I like the way the rivets are so clear on the beam to the right side. |

The Millennium Bridge in Salford Quaysby PaulkComment: You/ve captured a really nice shot of this footbridge with the towers on either side. My only complaint is that the sky is just a mite too bright - - any way you could have toned it down a bit?? |

Archesby mariomelComment: Hi. I really like the colours on this bridge. The way you shot up into it is very different and the blue sky adds a nice touch to the overall photograph. I just can't imagine the work that went into building something like this. I mean, just look at the brickwork, the arches, those street lamps look great, and you've captured those railings against the blue sky just perfectly.
I wonder had you waited just another 1/2 hour or so, if the sun shining down on the frozen water, if the reflection would have lit up the inside of the (tunnels) very much to show more details? Doesn't matter. Great shot. Congratulations! |

Lost On A Closed Trackby ndsComment: Got to be honest with you, I think you had a great enough photo without the umbrella. I like the way you caught the moss on the wood in front of your camera and the way the rails lead right down under the bridge is great. Was there any way of showing slightly more of the bridge?
Your photo is nice and clear, it's crisp, sharp, and in focus, but that umbrella really bothers me. |
