Day 5 - Siblingsby Bruce_the_RobertComment: I really like the tones and textures created by the grass... specifically the clumps of grass at the top left of the photo. :) Neat shot - the sepia tones work well here. |

whitehorseby Bruce_the_RobertComment: I personally don't like the border, but...
The sense of motion you have captured here is glorious. :) I can just about feel the tremendous, rolling power and grace of the horse. Somehow the colors and high-contrast strenthen this impression, although I wonder how this would look with just slightly less contrast...Very beautiful! |

Isolation EGGSperimentby tfarrell23Comment: Neat! I like the way the composition challenges me to really look at the image. It's as though the egg is jumping out and demanding my attention. ;) I also like the lighting, and the wonderful contrasts. The border works very nicely here! My only complaint would be that the highlight on the closest egg looks burned out - it's not pure white. (at least not on my screen) but that is a minor nit-pick. Great photo. |

Observedby colorcarnivalComment: Nice! My only suggestion to enhance this shot would be to try for a different composition. Perhaps taking the shot at an angle, so that the branch created a diagonal line would make this slightly more interesting to look at...however, the strong contrasts here are great! |

In Splendid Isolationby jonfrommkComment: I admit I do not find this very interesting... but I certainly like the rich blue colors a lot, and the border works nicely. Good try! :) |

Untitledby bmartuchComment: Well, here's my two cents. :)
The image is lacking contrast - the range of tones is low. There is only black and some dark greys here, which make the image feel dark and under-exposed. I've also had difficulty with black and white pictures like this. If I try to brighten it up any more I end up with a grainy, unpleasant photo. My only suggestion to fix this might be to try to create some better lighting. Very nice try though - I like the whole set-up you have here with the necklace and the subject's expression. Hope this was a little helpful! :) |
