Rip Van Winkleby TomComment: I really like this, the atmosphere is wonderfully idyllic.... and that man in the shade somehow really does look like rip van winkle. ;) Also, getting the right exposure in outdoor shots like this - where there is both sun and shade - is very difficult. But you've exposed this perfectly. Nice work! |

Day 6 - A Bug's Lifeby BudyaComment: Rich beauty. Wonderful contrasts and shallow DOF! Reminds me of some of RKT's work. Message edited by author 2008-01-31 20:02:48. |

Day 3 - Sphinxby BudyaComment: I love the way the lack of contrast sets a brooding, heavy, murky atmosphere. Fabulous work. |

Hidden Ruler Of Woodsby vaarComment: Fantastic! I love the shallow dof here, and it works so well. I personally might have added just a touch of contrast... but I also love the richness of the green, and your use of framing is quite clever. It should have scored higher! :) |

Trees of Snowfallby jaysonmcComment: I love this. The elegant, subtle mood you have captured here is glorious. I really like the composition... Well done. When I read the title "Trees of Snowfall," I almost subconsciously started looking for the snow, saw it, and really liked it. Even if I hadn't seen the title though I think I still would have realized it was snow. And since I've always wanted to get a picture of a winter scene and somehow capture the falling snow as well, I would have been thrilled anyway.
Just a thought.
Great photo! :) |

The Tunnelby hazeComment: I really like what you've got here... my only suggestion would be to get rid of the color and go to black and white. I personally think the colors aren't doing much to help the photo - they're all very bright, random colors, and they're only around the edges of things. But then again maybe you wanted that effect, with the little bits and hints of color here and there...yes, now that I look at it again, I can see where someone might like it. It's almost like a hint of a rainbow is spillng into the tunnel after the person. I still would have fully desaturated it though. ;)Overall it's definitely a great shot, with splendid composition and ligting! :) |

Pretty Kittyby WallitComment: Fabulous! I love those green eyes, the way they match with the frame... and congradulations on getting the cat to cooporate. ;) |
