Leaving home with Mr. Bearby Dirt_DiverComment: Great picture, great score, and great finish Joe. Don't know why you received a 2 and some 3's. Maybe a disgruntled voter who ran way from home as a child, or was sucha horrible parent to have kids run away from them. None the less, great job! |

Reachin' for the Wall....by annigComment: I think this is a great action shot of your friend's daughter. The expression on her face makes me feel as if she has been swimming for a while and is just happy to finally reach the wall. I see where others have commented the lane marker looks more in focus than she does though and it does slightly appear that way. But I don't think that takes away from this photo enough to warrant the score you received. I am happy you got in the top 50, but think you deserved more.
Next time you get to shoot this, make sure your camera is on AI Servo and track her as she is coming in the wall, the whole time when she gets close enough just keep ing clikcing away and I am sure you will catch another great expression, time after time. |

Out of Placeby nickdayComment: Nick,
I am adding you as a favorite of mine, and you are only the second person I have added. I think given your age and the small selection of photos that I have seen that you have some great talent.
As you progress in photography more and more I am sure that you photos will improve exponentially!
Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing more of your photos entered in the challenges and added to your portfolio.
I really like this image, and the lighting. I hope you explore my photos like this in the future! |

Applause Please!! by nutzitoComment: I don't know what I am more in awe of, the skill these two men have to pull of such a stunt, or the skill you have to photograph it so well.
When I see the lights in the background, coupled with the smoke and what looks like a dark stage I am awestruck as to how you managed to get such a clean image with what had to have been very difficult lighting to obtain a good exposure.
The shadows and highlights are so well controlled, the image is sharp and the colors are still very appearant.
This is just a fascinating photo when you consider the technicals in such a difficult location.
Congratulations on the top 5 and another oh so close to 7 score. In the end you have a fantastic photo, a great score, and a memory that will make it all worth it!
Well done! Message edited by author 2007-08-09 03:13:24. |

lavender, lovely lavenderby annigComment: Great photo Anne. The bee is captured very nicely. Have you tried some noise reduction software to try to clean up the background a bit? |

jimBMX.jpgby PuckzzzComment: Great shot. His apparel and pose really fit the theme of extreme BMX and stunts. I hope he enjoys his new bike as much as you enjoyed giving it to him and that it provides you endless photographic opportunities! |
