readmoreby SerGComment: Great set up but I don't think the shallow dof is quite working. Love the colours though. |

I'll Show You a Wild Cat!by MaryOComment: Another Bengal called Nikita? ..and I thought I was original when I named my cat. Heh..
That's a great capture, look at all those teeth!
My cat is sweet around 90% of the time. She sometimes works herself into a frenzy while playing and decides she wants to claw and bite at proper flesh rather than her toys (i.e my hands or feet). She knows now she's not supposed to do that so her solution is to do it very sneakily and quickly so I won't notice! (yeah right). Doesn't happen very often though. I'm better at judging when she's getting that heated up.
Anyway the photo is very well taken, great moment :) |

Day 15: Fierce in Tooth and Clawby SiggavComment: dassilem - thanks! It's a bit of both. Nikita is a very high maintenance cat. Very active, intelligent and a lot of fun but at the same time a lot of work. It's worth it though but it's a big commitment. She's a Bengal cat so she's got a fair bit of wild blood in her.
However I love photographing her and I think I've got over 4000 photos of her in total since I got her. So I've got some practice now in picking and selecting the right moment to capture. |

Day 8: Female Bettas IIby SiggavComment: nhuto - When I bought them I was very careful to make sure they all had oviposters so they should all be female. However their fins have grown a fair bit in most of them. Especially the ventral fins which are supposed to be longer in the males, even on plakat bettas so.. I don't know.
Because the fins are bigger I've not been able to spot the oviposter on a few of them for a while. I think they're all girls still but it's hard to tell. They fight a fair bit but it's usually not too bad. I would never recommend keeping two males together though. |
