I would have cropped more off the bottom to emphasize the patterns and textures. I would leave a little bit of the blues but not much. The royal blues really take away from the color of the lantern to me.

I will be planting this in my gardens. I love the purples and its unusual shapes. I think the stalky thing on the left is distracting. I would have offset the flower to the left side of the image and allow the right to show the garden scene.

Lovely pink hollyhocks! I would love to get seed from this variety! simply gorgous! One thing that bugs me is the powder is on the side on this rotation which gives away the fact its rotated.

the grain is not something I generally like. However, I think its growing on me the more I see this one. There is just enough that makes me see that it was done on purpose without looking to intentional. (if that made any sence at all!)

I would (for the hell of it) try to add a motion blur to the grain in the background to make it look like rain in motion. not sure how it would look though. lol
