Very interesting, stark and not a lot to look at and yet makes a welcoming statement to go sit near the window.
It is a very sharp and clean image focus is exceptionally good. Only thing that could possibly improve the image is add a little more light to the table in the corner and pull it out of the shadows and at something like a flower or lamp to it for accent.
In all it is a good image and doesn't need anything technically speaking.

My Home Townby draney4Comment: *Critique Club*
Intriging image in so much as it make the viewer wonder how did that happen. The red jacket grabs the eye and makes you look at the man, then the motion makes you look at the bird so overall the photo holds your attention.
I would like to see either the man or the bird in better focus rather than the grass between the two. But overall the composition does get your attention and hold it and yes the title fits well cause it reminds me of a couple walking in a park near home. Nicely done

Olympic Mts. Sunsetby kebbieComment: *Critique Club*
Beautiful image. Colors are stunning. The sky is very intense.
The entire image appears to be slightly out of focus an unsharpening mask might of helped. The bouy appears to be something for the eye to look at and you may want to try to pull it up more next time and make it appear closer and bigger rather than just being an object.
I thought a while about this as to if it fits the image and I would say it does make me want to relax and since home is where you relax it does say home sweet home. Nice interuptation.

My way homeby puppy52Comment: "Critique Club"
Interesting image for Home Sweet Home. It really doesn't say much for the challenge and yet at the same time it says hey this is my house number.
The color is good, focus seems pretty good, the angle makes it interesting the thing that takes from it first is the first impression of what is 612? Also the lighting around it makes for a bit of distraction. It is though a very orginal interuptation on the challenge and I think that makes it good. =o)

This definately says home sweet home and meets the challenge.
Your composition is good, the focus appears to be on the table and the man in the backround cooking seems to be there for effect only.
There seems to be a bit to much red in the backround leaving his face appear very red. You may need to do a little color balance and soften those tones some.
Truthfully I like the image and think that color balance would greatly improve it. The dof used in creating it works for me when I think about the entire image.

Mommy is coming Home !by melissartsComment: *Critique Club*
This definately says Home Sweet Home, its the welcoming committee. The composition and the entire idea are very good and there is a warm feeling about the entire image.
You can improve on the image by either setting your sharpness on your camera or using an unsharpening mask. The focus is just to soft. The one thing I don't really like is the way there is almost a halo effect around the dogs nose, possibly caused by to much light.
Your idea is good as is the composition just work a little on the focus and you will have a winner.

Sweet Home Sweet Homeby mattsComment: *Critique Club*
Great start for your first entry =o) I simply adore this photo as I said during the voting its a 10 from me, but then I am very partial to the sentimental types.
Your focus and dof are really good. The little girl is in good focus while the bear is slightly softer. The only thing I might change about the whole image is a little lighter, the little girl especially appears to be too dark, based on skintones.
I believe it does say Home Sweet Home in such a soft delicate way, well done and welcome to DPChallenge. I'll be looking forward to seeing more images like this in the near future from you =o)

Home is where the hearth is.by BeetleComment: *Critique Club*
Nice fireplace that is for sure. There is a definate warmth to the entire image, the photo is also in very good focus and the dof used for it works well. Personally I liked the image when I first saw it and still do although I will agree with you about the reflections being there. They do leave a slight distraction to the overall image although not a major distraction. The one thing that really bugs me is how the center flame appears to blend right in with the wall in your bathroom and creates a mushroom like cloud, its not obvious at first glance but as you look at it you notice it.
The image does portray Home Sweet Home very well and the overall composition is really good, I liked your idea here very well it is a wonderful Home Sweet Home image.

This definately says home to me I see a little dog every day too on the sofa when I come in the door. The concept and composition are very good for this challenge.
Your focus appears to be soft on the entire image and a unsharping mask may have helped with that. Also as mentioned in the other comments the white balance may be an issue here, if you can set your white balance set if for soft lighting indoors if not when you edit your photo set your color balance towards the blue to help pull the yellow tones out.
Overall the image is interesting and does meet the challenge.

Mirrored homeby mattComment: *Critique Club*
This could be a very interesting take on home sweet home if not for a few distractions. First is the glare on the left handside near the top, then there is the issue of another glare or something like that just off center and to the right, also the right corner and the right edge of the photo where you can see the van are very distracting. Take your time when doing a reflection and get rid of as many distracting issues before taking the photo then crop out as much as you can and it will improve greating on mirrored images like this.
You are however well within the challenge with this definately says home. The focus is also very good. The concept is very good and has potential just take your time and take into consideration the distracting elements and this will work for you.
