This could be a very amazing photo if not for the overprocessing, The shadows created from the processing take away from the photo and make it look like a copy of a newspaper photo.

This definately fits the challenge. Your focus is good but you may want to try a shallower dof to blurr the background somewhat. As I look at it the silver colander in the background is very distracting.

The container of syrup is just a little to dark on the left side and could use a tad more light. In all it is a very good take on the liquid challenge and with just a few minor corrections would be outstanding.

Very nice represntation of sound. It could have been improved more had someone been playing it.

Over all the focus and dof are good on this only thing that is slightly off is your lighting it just gets to dark on the right side. Also had you been able to cut back the lighting glare on the harmonica itself it would have helped.

very nice rose macro. Well done would work well for a magazine with the space that is there for the title and the print along the side.

This definately works for me as a magazine cover. There is space for the print along the side and room across the top for the magazine title. Nicely done. =o)

This is a nice clean image. The focus is good, the texture is very good in the fact that you can actually see the pores in his face. The DOF is also very good.

One thing in this that could easily be corrected is since the challenge was sound show more of the whistle. The other thing is there are some round markings on the brick in the background and they make a backward L shape and kind of seem to create something growing out the side of the nose, slight repositioning would correct that.

In all it is a really nice image just is a little week for sound but it does meet the challenge.

This definately meet the challenge as it portrays "White Noise" beyond fitting the challenge there isn't a lot to say about it. I tend to agree with the comments left behind it is just to dark and not all that interesting.

You would have improved greating if the lighting was a little strong and crop in more on just the picture from the tv.

I did read your comment and I know the feeling too it just sucks to not have a submission! You did a pretty good critique of it too. Nice try on a last minute attempt and as someone said in the comments...nice experiment. I agree cause it could work if it weren't so dark.

Nice image well done in good focus. Meets challenge cause you can almost hear the bacon cooking when you look at it. Actually right now I think I can smell it too. =o)

Only real thing I see to improve upon this image is it appears a little undercooked and overexposed in the one end of the skillet. Nice overall look though, well done.

Sorry for the pun couldn't help myself.

Different concept of how you did this. Its interesting, and definately does meet the challenge. Your focus seems pretty good in that the keys of the piano are in relatively good focus.

The only thing I don't like about the image is the one hand with the movement, although that makes it interesting it also takes away in so much as the white area caused by the moment of the hand.

It was definately interesting and does get your attention, I can almost here the music now.

The colors are interesting but I have a big problem with the lips themselves. For being the main focus of the image they are very soft and the focus just isn't there. Part of it could be the lipstick bleeding but if you are going to do a photo so concentrated on a pair of lips make sure your model has lip liner on to stop the lipstick bleeding.

You stated you used lots of neatimage to get the plastic look to it, it just doesn't work for me. The purpose for plastic surgery and collogen injections is not to look like plastic it is to look real without imprefections.

I can't stop being distracted by the right side of the mouth even though your focus is to the left top, the right bottom is so out of focus and bright it takes all the attention from the needle and upperlip.

As for meeting the challenge, doesn't to me. Had there been a drop of liquid even if it was water or cooking oil visible from around the needle then it would but without the title all it is is a photo of vanity.
