The Brandeburg Gateby kiwinessComment: *Critique Club*
This is simply a stunning nightime photo. The focus is excellent as is the color and the lighting.
I sat here and tried to find something I would change about the photo but honestly there isn't a thing. I would however love to see other angles of this if you have them.
Simply fantastic Gary!
Almost forgot yes, it also does fit the challenge.

Quiet peaceful morningby xertionComment: Critique Club
The colors here are real attention grabbers. The photo itself seems to be evenly divided into thirds and has a very special beauty all its own.
Very good work and I hope to see more photos like this from you in future.

Night Lightby KevinRiggsComment: Critique Club
Good shot! Excellent entry for this challenge. I personally envy you for being able to take this fantastic photo.
Only thing that might have improved it was a deeper saturation of color there was a grayish tone to it overall and making the black a deeper bolder black would have brought out the planet more.

Definately fits the challenge of Negative Space. There is a good bit of detail to the feather, the lighting appears to be pretty good. Your composition is also good.
The only thing this really lacks is the luster to win. As it is right now it reminds me of Forrest Gump without the box of chocolates. In other words it is just a little to plain to win.

high and mighty, the temple roofby kenboComment: *Critique Club*
This definately does fit the challenge. There is a lot of negative space here.
The darkness of the building works nicely against the blue sky. The sky works well as it appears to be a very clear day. I know you used ruled of thirds in your composition but in this case I think if you had centered the point of the roof and kept it to the bottom third it might work very well. As it is I feel like we are missing part of the artifacts on the building.

In My Little Boy's Eyes.....by christyrackComment: Critique Club
Sometimes reflections work sometimes they don't in this case they work well. Nice composition as well. Your little boy has the right look too. He has a questioning look about him, kind of makes me wonder was he asking if he could go next door and play?
The black and white here works well and keeps the reflections from dominating the photo. To bad the two parrell lines from something reflect right through his face otherwise it would be a perfect photo with reflections

Innocence Capturedby channeledComment: Critique Club
Very cute capture of the child. It has a lot of potential and the only real flaw is the themometer reflection in the glass it destroys an otherwise charming photo. Just watch out for those little details in the future. It really was a very good attempt.

Nightly Waitingby moodvilleComment: Critique Club
I love the drawing manniquins and I am very partial to them when I see them. This one is no exception to that. I love the whole concept here and think it meets the challenge nicely. It is a bit to soft but still has a very good composition going for it.
Keep up good efforts and I look forward to seeing more of your wooden pal in the future.

I wasn't sure if I should do this critique but hey if you wanna get mad at me you know where I am...lol
OK just cause I shot the other side of the hospital did you have to do it directly on? Seriously yes you met the challenge well this time and yes there are right angles everywhere. The color is a little off and it is slightly dark near the bottom although I am pretty sure that is cause you took it close to sunset. Your composition is getting better keep on trying you are getting better. |
