how do we make deep dof ?by oferashelComment: Very nice perspective on the challenge, although I am sure the big issue is there really isn't a very DEEP depth of field here.
I do understand your photo well and I think technically it is very good, just feel most of the voters couldn't think outside the little box as usual. Message edited by HBunch - Removed Critique Club status. |

f128 if only my digital had that...by RasaiComment: Critique Club
I think you lost to much of the detail around the lens. Just seems lost to darkness.
Also this was very weak for the challenge. It is a cool photo but when I think of deep depth of field I picture a landscape with something close and something far away with objects inbetween, and chances are everyone else was looking for that too. |

For starters this does meet the challenge well there are definately 3 here.
I would like to have seen more detail to the faces of the statues are they are now they seem overprocessed, out of focus and overexposed. Message edited by HBunch - Removed Critique Club status. |

Overall the image is very strong, well composed, there is a richness to the tonal values you chose to present. There really isn't anything I would change to the image itself but I would lose the blueish gray in the border, just doesn't do anything for it. Seems to be more of a distraction than a help.
