Close Encounters of the Thirds Kindby pointandshootComment: Excellent! First of all, light going through air and shadowy objects (trees in upper part) visible - very good exposure - things are enough light and enought dark to be visible and have details. Maybe not that much in the lower left, but here I think it is not that important. Composition created of 3 horizontal parts, and at the same time diagonally (left lower dark, upper right light). And details! Water drops! If someone expects to see shadows always casted on hard surface, then remind that shadows visible in the air are shadows too ;) Very good. Hopefully will manage to vote enough to be counted :) |

Afternoon sunby ladpupmoeComment: I think this is one of the best for this challenge. Pretty simple composition, but subjects are selected perfectly to show shadows and they are lighted well. Contrasting textures and forms works very well too. Maybe very dark spot on the leaf is too dark. Anyway, excellent work. |

Old Fenceby swm4lfe_2001Comment: Nice thing here is that whole length of fence has same inclination as close-up detail - this could work to make graphical composition. No so nice is that whole fence is not that visible - darker or more contrasty would make it better. |

Applesby photobuddyComment: Choice of colors is unusual and good, but I think composition needs something - other object? different color element? beam of light? - something that can kind of anchor attention. |

Le Vase en Lumière de Matinby loveComment: Interesting work! We used to see so often batterflies on flowers - all alive and colorful. This breaks that standard and I consider it very original. Choice of monochrome is very appropriate. I wish floweres were little bit larger or maybe part around butterfly darker - to focus more attention to flowers - away from butterfly that is currently dominating object. Very good work anyway. |

Hand madeby beekeeperComment: Very nice composition. Background controlled well (excluding brightest part on right side). It seems like little bit darker whites may look better. I think intesnsity of color of vase somewhat takes away from beauty of flowers. Currently vase is maybe equally important element of image. I would prefer it was secondary. Outside of challenge, I would have desaturated it to some degree. Could work as black and white too, but desaturation would be better option. Good work. |

Pear on my old tableby androgeusComment: I like colors here, and textures of background and pear - kind of contrasting. Reflective surface doesn't look really attractive. Problem here is not that I would prefer "mirror like" clear reflection - it would make this similar to many other images. However I feel this surface should have had either more apparent features, or be closer to mirror having less dots or whatever is there. And I like that horizon is tilted - it goes well with this image. |

Absolute Whiteby pixelpigComment: Interesting use of reflective whatever - distorted reflections draw attention. I wonder how this will look as black and white - for some reason I'm not that comfortable with combination of colors here - even though there are not that many :) |

Cherries with Waterby hesitantComment: Very nice. Not sure why you decided to have part of reflection so close to border. From my point of view, graphics (lines and shapes) are very important in this image and from that perspective line almost touching border is not that good. |

I Quitby photopiaComment: Very artistic! I would have called it "Doubts" - she's not throwing them yet ;) But maybe she already decided. Anyway, image provoking all these thouhts is what I value here most. Well, I like light, tonality, and compostion too :) |
