Frozen in actionby DarriComment: Sorry but stopping the action doesn't convey stationary to me. Good capture but weak on the challenge subject. 5 |

Bulbby justinw3053Comment: The focus and exposure of this image is well done. The subject matter doesn't really provide any emotional attachment to the photo. I also found myself wanting to see the top of the bulb where the filiment is located. |

All Along The Watchtowerby DanielCzajaComment: What makes this always stationary object a strong subject for a stationary challenge is the movement caused by the wind in the grass and the tree. The placement of the light house in the center of the composition works well in this image because of the tree. At first I thought the image could use a little straightening; however, I believe it is an optical illusion caused by the shadows. Although the person adds perspective to the image, he does provide a distraction, as my eyes keep trying to see a little more detail in him. Very nice image. |

The Plug In Drugby EricMGB1974Comment: The exposure and composition of this image is perfect. The eyes are a bit over the top on the girl on the left, which looks cartoonish compared the girl on the right. You might want to try a black border for this image, as the red one just doesn't look right. |

Going Nowhereby lwiley212Comment: A very nice shot under tough shooting conditions. My only suggestion is to crop a little off the right side to eliminate the plants across the street. The corner of your display window provides a leading line right to it and my naturally followed. |

Immovable Rockby HikerDudeComment: The rock face is definitely the main subject here and definitely fits the challenge; however, something keeps drawing my eyes to the back of the image. Part of it is the snow I think, as brighter areas tend to draw attention. Anothe part is the line of plant life leading from the front of the image back to the mountain range. Perhaps if you saturated the colors of the rock face at tad more it would hold the viewers attention better. |

Army of Oneby pudserComment: Your focus point bing the darkest statue is spot on. You might want to consider cropping the top a little bit to eliminate the gray area in the top left corner. |

Quiet Monkeysby AlyssabearComment: I think you choose the wrong time of day to shot this image. The sun is very harsh and has blown out the highlights in the hats. The main composition is fine; however the background is very cluttered and distracting. You might want to consider using a tight crop on this image to minimize the busy background. If your crop just barely touched the hair of the main monkeys on the outside edge of each, it could help this image. Don't be afraid to play around a bit. |

Floating and Stationaryby gisliComment: The reflection in the calm water is exceptional. You might want to try a vertical crop emphasizing the boats and see if it changes the emotion of this image. The boats convey relaxation which doesn't really fit with the truck trailers and storage tanks. |
