Shelby's Prideby TvettingComment: Hello from the Critique Club,
First let me congratulate you a new personal best score. I know you were probably hoping for a little higher but your score indicates that the image was technically strong and meet the challenge description. Where the image falls short is in the DPC "Wow" factor. Nearly 40% of your votes were 5's. That to me suggests that the voters looked for literally 2-3 seconds and concluded, "this picture isn't bad, so I can't give 4 or less, but it doesn't do that much for me so I can't give 6 or more".
You did a nice job trying to eliminate distractions in this image. However, the cars visible on both sides of the Shelby indicate that your image was taken at a car show of some sort. This gives the image a walk-by-shooting look that lacks the creativity that the DPC voters look for.
Feel free to send me a PM if you have any questions regarding this critique.
Tim

On the Outside Looking Inby EstimatedEyesComment: Back to comment and to bump: One of my favorites of the challenge. A little cropping on the left to get rid of the non-circular bokeh on the edge and this would have been perfect for my taste. 9 |

Seat of devine inspirationby TajhadComment: Back to comment: The lighting in this image gives it great depth. If the chair had been on the same level as the landing in front of it, this would have been in contention for my favorite in this challenge. As is, nicely captured and worthy of an 8. |

Mosqueby MelethiaComment: Back to comment: The lighting in this image is wonderful. You took this at the perfect time of day. I would have liked the negative space in this image to be on the right side of the image instead of the left, as the tree behind the Mosque isn't as dramatic as the sun light in front of the Mosque. Overall, a very nice image and worthy of an 8. |

Vowsby JeniYComment: Back to comment: A creative take on a common subject. The luster in the rings is amazing. You did a wonderful job with the lighting. Made my top 3 for the challenge. Hope to see this on the front page. |

Beloved Baby Bearby timfythetooComment: An exceptional image; however, the child facing the camera makes the toy a secondary subject. If she was looking at Pooh and squeezing the stuffing out of him this would have scored a 10 from me. As is, a solid 8. I'm betting this goes on your wall. This looks like Rowan Toole. |
