Ordinary Lifeby eggfoxComment: The selective desaturation makes the color of the bridge look un-natural. 5 |

Fire - Stationby h2Comment: I don't care for the post processing. The leaves on the ground foliage makes the vehicle look like it is in motion. 5 |

Frostby airaticComment: No, fireworks. Stop action via photography does not convey stationary very effectively. Fireworks are constantly changing. 4 |

Unmovedby ValdoComment: Yes a statue is stationary and the exposure is exceptional; however, the sign in the background takes away any feeling this image conveys about being stationary. The flow of the lines on the sign indicates places you can go and thus, motion. |

24/7 and stopped thoughby magrolinoComment: This competition is steep in this challenge and I suspect it will pull your score down just a bit. I like the use of the red light to convey stationary, as it is the universal signal for stop. The 24 sign is a bit too prominent in this image for my tastes and really doesn't add to the challenge subject. The exposure is well done the background color is nicely saturated. |

Treesby operalynnComment: There are too many things that draw my eyes away from the main subject, the trees. Things like the pathway and the animal/statue in the background. Part of that is due to the lighting and part to the uniform color of the trees. If you cropped off the left half of the picture and converted this to black and white with high contrast, the light that is actually on the top of the tree limbs would become the focal point and allow the trees to become the main subject. |

My foot's down but it still won't go!by JacquiDComment: Although the face does communicate somewhat the frustration that could be felt because the stroller isn't moving, is also could also be saying tired, hungry, or what's this stranger doing with that camera. A sleeping toddler would have been a stronger stationary challenge subject. On the technical side, the eyes should be the sharpest area in the photo instead of the back edge of the stroller. |
