Yes, he does have a serious look, and in other shots he is smiling more. His expression here is one of the big reasons why I chose to use this shot though. It's a very serious and dry expression, but when I was taking the shot I knew I wanted to do a kind of vintage "Spanky and Our Gang" look. I don't know with the hat and truck it just reminded me of the Little Rascals and the expression seemed appropriate. LOL.

Exactly the look and effect I was going for. I wanted something different for the calendar challenge and the first thing that popped into my mind were those black and white period looking shots with a touch of muted color. So I really didn't want the lose the cute pink nose, and the ears balanced it out a little. I was very happy with the results and very glad to know that you like it as well. :)

Thanks Deb, I've had quite a lot of people ask me what's in the box, but I've never revealed it....so far. Rest assured there IS something in that box...which is very old. Probably around 55 to 60 years old and means a lot to me. :) Thanks for all your wonderful comments on my photos today. :)
