Ancient Astronomyby h2Comment: Congrats on an awesome shot and HM Oliver. You really should have ribboned with this shot IMO. |

Head of the Hillby kandykarmlComment: This shot would have worked a lot better had you used a smaller aperture and got more in not all of the background in focus. Being that it's a landscape challenge you are taking the focus off that by having the foreground cow in focus and it really distracts from what's going on in the rest of the photo. Good luck! |

Path of silenceby hajekaComment: The people in the background are distracting and this photo really doesn't fit the landscape challenge IMO. You chose to focus on leaves and a branch rather than focus on a larger landscape area. By using a wider aperture and blurring the background it really weakens the shot. Please don't take it as being critical because I'm just trying to give my advice. Good luck! |

Farmlandby ButterflyGirlComment: I love farmland shots, but this isn't really working for me. Way too much sky in my opinion and not enough detail to see in the foreground. If this were my shot I would have brought the horizon up more to at least the bottom horizontal of the rule of thirds and maybe gotten in a little closer to the action. The clouds do look nice though and I can see why you wanted to keep more of them, but for a landscape challenge it takes away from the keep elements that we want to focus on. Just my opinion. Otherwise I do like the contrast between the blue sky, the green fields and the earth tones of the plowed fields. Good luck! |

Deleriumby RKTComment: Cool photo...that's for sure, but in the context of a landscape challenge it's not doing it for me. Good luck though! |

Mingus Mountainsby justineComment: A great vista, but seems a little too over sharpened. With all the haze in the far background and sky I think I would have tried to darken that area using an exposure mask. A great shot though with nice bands of various colors as you go deeper into the image. Good luck! |

~ B L U E ~by glad2badadComment: This shot looks like something that would make it into the next release of Windows at a wallpaper or background. LOL. That's not a bad thing mind you. I love the shades of blue and the geometric patterns of the weaving mountainsides, but in all honesty I expect more out of a landscape challenge...as in more detail and more to look at. Great photo, but just not right for me in this context. |

High-altitude Landscapeby claylikethemudComment: I love aerial shots, but I feel this photo is hurting a little due to under exposure. Using an exposure mask on the land would have allowed you to increase the light and detail just a bit...enough to get more appreciation out of the foreground in contrast with the sun set. Good luck! |

Bad Habits and More Bad Habitsby ColeyComment: This one seems to get a bunch of mentions in the forum for being humorous. It's obviously a reprise of your earlier challenge entry that took I believe 8th place. I think you'll get the blue this time around. Good luck Cole. |
