On a side note, it's interesting how the colors in your direct image are so different from the ones on the screen! Shows how hard it is to match display colors to reality.

I love the dreamy feel, the nostalgic colors, and the pose, which makes her seem to be drifting on the wind. But I don't get why her face is covered. Still a 7, but with her face showing, a point or two higher.

It seems to me the memoir should be about you, the photographer, as opposed to the bird, but at least you connected the title to a story. As for the photo, I have a few concerns, but you can decide whether they're worth your worrying about: the bird doesn't seem as sharp as the branches in between it and the camera, the composition feels a little unbalanced - try it with most of the left side cropped out, and the colors seem a little green.

THANK YOU for actually writing a memoir and then illustrating it with a photo. And it's a really nice photo with a great vintage feel, clearly connecting to the idea of an adult remembering childhood road trips. In fact, this is getting a 10 from me for both the memoir and the photo.
