The Art of the Gameby colorcarnivalComment: I can't believe this score (and I don't say that very often on DPC). This is very special!
Came back to edit to add a few details about *why* it's special: you captured important, relevant detail to the story while losing low-level background detail. If this were a painting rather than a case where the timing was just right, I can't imagine doing anything different. Message edited by author 2013-03-05 20:07:02. |

Practice Daily by bassboneComment: Beautiful shot!
As you can imagine, I have the same goal this year with guitar. :) |

The Technician by Art RoflmaoComment: Like most of your work, this brings a big smile to my face. :) I'm also thrilled for you at that score! |

I suspect alcohol may have been involved.by Yo_SpiffComment: Oh, man. It took me a minute to stop laughing and start typing. Here's roughly what went through my my mind: Ah. It's a boat. What did it run over? Is that a cow? A COW? Wait, where is this shot? Where'd the boat come from?!? And then I read your comment, which took my smile to full-blown laughing. All you're missing is "No cows were harmed in the making of this photograph."
Edited to add: Oh! Now reading the other comments, I see the cow died there. Which makes this even more amusing. I mean, it's sad the cow died, but things do die. So good on you to have spotted this bizarre juxtaposition! Message edited by author 2013-01-05 13:14:11. |

Jet Jockeyby Yo_SpiffComment: Wow, what a perspective! He's got a great smile, and then WHAM! I realized what that was zooming up from the background. The shot has the same vibe as those of dogs with their owners, with the dog's snout zooming up similarly from using a wide angle lens. I bet he feels similiarly affectionate toward his chariot. |

Joyby Yo_SpiffComment: What fun! I LOVE those slides, and miss the times when our daughters were younger and we'd go. |

Does this bike make my butt look fast?by Yo_SpiffComment: I would've voted this a 6 or 7. I'm with you 100% on everything you said about motion and dynamism of the main subject. The rest of it didn't grab me too much, though. Now, with ominous clouds, a giant water drop in the background, and maybe some ladybugs hitching a ride ... ;) |
