Good idea, but seems very blurry overall. Also, the leading lines don't point at /one/ object. I think the image would have beena lot stronger ifyou had had only one train on the round thingie. (4)

When you only have 640 pixels to use, why use so many on a border? Interesting leading lines, but I can't really tell what they are leading to. (4)

Nive picture, but the sharpening done here is far from subtle, and although you have great leading lines, the lines lead to nowhere (3)

As a photograph, this is pretty sweet. However, there are a few things that are worth saying: have a look along the top - you seem to be having some severe barrel distortion (the line along the top - the two windows in particular). You can solve this by zooming in a little bit (I am assuming you shot this on full wide angle?) and walking further back. If you look at the bottom of the building, your camera was a few degrees to the left also - both are really composition issues, but they do make the pic look a bit scruffy, I think.

As for the picture itself: Great shot, but not a lot of yellow - which was probably what cost you a place in the top10 this week. Keep trying! :)

This is a pretty interesting picture, but it leaves a few things to be desired, I think. Sharpness is fine, but a shutter time of 1/60 really doesn't cut it in this case - it means you have to use your flash, but in general, it is a better idea to put LOTS of light on your scene (300w floodlights are good), and then use a 1/2000 shutter time. The idea itself was pretty good, but orange juice is generally.. eh.. orange :) Just nitpicking - A very nice picture indeed, but it lacks a sense of focus (not technically, rather composition-wise), which probably cost you a place in the top 10 this time.

Good luck further!

Writing a suicide note with a sharpie? God, man, at least have the decency to use a fountain pen or something else classy. :P Sorry, couldn't help myself. Good image, but it doesn't really show a sense of urgency and despair. The writing is calm and the grip of the pen is firm and calm.. Not a bad shot, though. (6)

An good (albeit not very original) idea that is ruined by the heavy over exposure. Try again! (4)

A good image, but the reflection on the middle of the globe makes it look as if you used a flash. Flashes are bad. Use a diffused light source, preferrably from one or more of the sides, to give it a rounder feel. Nice shot and subtle sepiatoning though. (8)

Try to be a little bit more creative with your lighting, and make sure you get a wider tonal range than this. Also, using a longer shutter time and smaller aperture might have helped you to get it all sharp. Also try to use a good level of USM. (4)
