Rings? who needs them?by rll07Comment: Uhmm... Yes. But even with the best of imaginations, I cannot really see any very clear number here. Sorry. Great image otherwise though> intriguing shape and cool exposure. Nice sky as well. (4) |

A Natural Sevenby drydocComment: Well seen, but a little too obscured for my taste. The picture in general is just a little too messy. The 7 is not the first thing you notice. Sorry. (5) |

Eightby JakComment: Good icea, but the execution is a bit too messy for my taste. Also, this is hardly "in nature", as described in the assignment. (4) |

Roman Numeral 6 (VI)by BigSmilesComment: I can understand your idea here, but it isn't at all clear enough, I feel. Also, it is far too blown out in the highlights for my taste. There seems to be a lot of digital or compression artifacts along the edges as well. (4) |

Adopted!by smellyfish1002Comment: (CC)
An incredible image indeed. I love the lighting and the relative fuzziness of the shadow in teh background. The picture seems slightly blurred (out of focus?), but the high amount of motherly love is definitely great. As for why it did not rank better than it did: God knows. I definitely like this shot.
The background is a bit noisy, though. Perhaps you should have thrown it better out of focus? Or even aimed a flash at it, to blow it out completely?
Anywho. Great job, and there are not a lot of things you could have done to improve this. Keep it up, and good luck in the next challenge! |

Four-Shadowingby alanfreedComment: Very well observed. The picture seems a bit dark on my monitor, but still. Good! (7) |

Salt Shakerby JackoComment: Although I think the highlights are a bit harsh, the compression is a bit too radical and that white dot in the bottom right is disturbing, this is getting a 10. One of the few pics that really lived up to the challenge this week. Good job. |

The Bookwormby andrewmComment: Beautiful lighting and good use of leading lines. Seems slightly posed, although I don't know if it is or not. (8) |
