On the top of the worldby heidaComment: The colours in this are fantastic, and the silhouette... In fact, I am convinced this will be this week's winner. 10. |

Waitingby artvetComment: This thing has either had a photoshop filter applied to it to turn it into an artwork (but this is all about photography, and hence fails in my eyes, and I would give it a 2, for your effort) or your camera takes pictures of a horribly bad technical quality (again, 2). Sorry. |

Point of No Returnby dsidwellComment: Gorgeous, but the whole picture seems a bit too dark, and you could have increased the contrast on the wire a bit, to make it completely black. Otherwise: quite a shot! (9) |

Sunset Mealby frumoazniculComment: The lighting in this is very lord of the rings-esque. If you have a look at their tail and the top of the bodies, it looks as if it has been over-sharpened quite a bit. Not that it really matters, the picture works perfectly (9) |

ephemeronby ursulaComment: I think this may well be a winner. The high contrast and dramatic angle is quite stunning. Not sure if it fully follows the challenge, but I am voting it a straight 10 anyway. Absolutely gorgeous. |

Afternoon Delightby dixonp1Comment: I find the non-norizontal horizon to be quite disturbing. Otherwise a good capture. Gorgeous colours. |

My Budda Silhouetteby TikicharmComment: An awful lot of noise in this picture - both in the buddha and in the blue areas of the image. Well spotted though, and nice execution! |

Glassby JackoComment: A good shot, but if you see top left and top right, there is a certain amount of banding, meaning that you have either compressed the picture too much, or done something odd in editing. Good lighting though. |

Northeast Marinaby scalvertComment: Pretty, but I feel the whole picture is too dark. Too little contrast. Surprising amount of shadow detail, though. |

The power of heat.by gwsallenComment: Fantastically well-taken image. Great lighting and creative, too! The only thing I would point out that there is a difference between "power" and "strength". Power is a more generic term, while strength is a word describing physical attributes such as raw strength and longevity. (you are by no means the only one. Check out this thread: kamps.org/g/?vkmv) I think you picture describes "power", but not "strength", and hence falls outside of the challenge. Sorry. (2) |
