Seems like turning torso fits many challenges? Nice building, but ... has the challenge been met? Maybe a shot from within TT, where window frame was the basis of a shot of the city of Malmö ...

Details: Capture an image where the foreground subject frames the rest of the image.

Other than that, I think turning torso is beautiful, and it is indeed a really nice shot you have made here ...

Very cool pic, brilliant idea, but, not enough frame to me for more than an 8.

This photo has some serious potenial in post processing, one of the major differences between taking appealing photos and just your normal run of the mill snapshots is understanding how the audience looks at photos.

I suggest going to google and typing "rule of thirds" and seeing what you can find. Centering subjects can sometimes really make them boring and gives the eye no where else to travel.

Best of luck- btw you should get a DSLR at somepoint, you seem to have some talent here.

Hi Morry32,

Thank you for very constructive and also positive critique. I have heard that mentioned before and will definately look it up. I ave so many sunrise/sunset shots, where the hardest thing for me is to choose which one is better than the other!

And thank you for the compliment - I suddenly feel I have opened up an entire new world for myself, being used to think of a photo as something original that should not be altered. Have I been deceived all these years or what!

Yes, we did a series of shots, especially as David is not so familiar with photography, so in between shots I adjusted shutter speed and more, as the sun came and went. Several challenges in one in this shot:

For one, I have to hold my breath, while using same to blow the rings, and using hands to stay down (but not disturbing water too much!) - at 3 meters I still have some positive buoyancy.

Second, as the first ring hits the surface, the surface obscures, and that is the end of that shot.

Third, some rings are broken, like some of these, but in a lucky shot, the rings can travel all the way to the surface complete smooth (see another picture from the same gallery). They just become thinner and thinner, like a piece of string in the end.

And then, at a semi-public olympic pool, one has to find a time during the day with no other visitors to get calm water, and not too much wind. Luckyly, it gets kinda warm here, so on a weekday right after noon, most tend to stay away from the sun, unless they have to be in it ...

So, not easy, but this was a good day :-)

In the same pool, this shot was made:

I am shooting myself from the bottom of the pool up through the surface, being captured at the highest point - more or less.

This is taken from inside the train, just before we hit a massive shower, so the wet look is from a recent thundserstorm. I would think an early morning shot in the sunrise would be a good one (and better chances for less clouds at that time of day ...)

Thank you for all your comments, Owen. Looking at your own impressive portfolio and alle nice favorites you have, I am honoured to have two of my shots in there! Hope to get some more in there some day.

I am not much into the details yet, about PP. Have just learned about Picasa, which I am using. Cloning, burning and all that ... some day, yeas, I will learn about that too, for now I am simply amazed what a little color adjustment, cropping and other simple stuff does to a picture.

The small thing at the top is an antenna sticking out, is that the one you mean?
